Day 2: Connecticut & New York

Took a turn away from the planned route after Windsor Locks (check out that Connecticut River, by the way- I’d row all over that) because there were too freaking many hills- not just inconvenient, but seriously slow. Since rescuing a leatherback, I’ve gone back to waking up before dawn, obsessively peeking back over my shoulder, and looking at life through the lens of a rower on Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River.

Monomoy Sea Turtle Rescue Team 2016
