Actionable Item, 4 June 2020
On March 13th, Breonna Taylor was shot and killed in an unannounced police raid targeted towards an unassociated person not residing at that location. For a woman who died in a drug warrant related raid, it seems that Ms. Taylor did not have the criminal background to justify the police officers’ actions. A certified EMTContinue reading “Actionable Item, 4 June 2020”
Actionable Item, 3 June 2020
Hello all, Keep it short and simple with a good thing you can do every day. Did you know that the City of Philadelphia is intending to cut over $45 million from city budgets for social services, public defenders, arts and culture, libraries, and parks and recreation? While the rain is on, anyways, there’s no sense in setting out- everythingContinue reading “Day 24: Kentucky”
Day 23: Kentucky
After a cozy camp out last night, I stayed in a little later than usual today to wait for rain showers to pass before heading on towards Bardstown- a mere 60 miles away.
Day 22: Kentucky, or, Kentucky with fewer mountains than before.
A frosty (beautiful) morning in Booneville today.
Day 21: Kentucky Canines and Caverns
Maybe because yesterday was Sunday, maybe because people like to stay inside here, or maybe because mountain spirits regularly transform people into dogs here- I’ve seen more dogs than humans for most of the last two days.
Divide and Conquer
The scarfed pieces, fully cured and ready to be cleaned, is turned into our full length keel plank and then milled to its final thickness before being sent over to Jake for marking and shaping. We’ve now got five people working on four separate projects for the Corinthian; although there’s less opportunity to doubleContinue reading “Divide and Conquer”
